Registration cost: $35

Enjoy the beauty of locally grown flowers and create your own summery bouquet during this informative and interactive bouquet arrangement workshop. With an emphasis on market bouquets, we will discuss different styles, tools and fixes, and other flower facts. You will also have opportunity to ask questions on seed-starting techniques and field-growing environments. Each participant will take home a wrapped bouquet. This workshop is perfect for avid gardeners or anyone who loves flowers!

CONNECTING FARMERS AND
FOOD BANKS

at Second Harvest Food Bank
6969 Silver Crest Road, Nazareth, PA

Join us at Second Harvest Food Bank to learn more about how charitable food systems and the agricultural community work together to address food insecurity. During this panel discussion, you’ll learn more about state and federal programs that build relationships between farmers and food banks, like the Local Food Purchase Assistance (LFPA) program and the Pennsylvania Agricultural Surplus System (PASS). Farmers and representatives from Second Harvest Food Bank, Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture, Flint Hill Farm, and Twin Maple Farms will share their experiences with these programs and help you explore your participation. We’ll also tour the food bank and enjoy finger foods. Come with questions and be ready to learn!

TAKE ACTION AGAINST HUNGER

Black River Farms

Join us at the Black River Winery to recognize Hunger Action Month for a night of live acoustic music, yoga in the vineyards (optional), cornhole, wine or spirits tasting with paired snacks, and trivia in the barn with a special guest MC!

Tickets are $50 per person and all proceeds directly contribute to Second Harvest Food Bank programming.

FARM-TO-TABLE DINNER

Saturday, October 5, 4:00 PM - 7 PM

Join us for our annual Farm Dinner at The Seed Farm! Enjoy a delightful evening in the greenhouse with a dinner catered by a local farm-to-table small business Butterhead Kitchen, featuring fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Savor specialty cocktails from Eight Oaks Distillery, hear inspiring talks from The Seed Farm incubator farmers and Second Harvest Food Bank, and relish the sunset with fellow agriculture advocates.
